Typical replacement in our area: $6,500 to $12,500.
This is a guide, not a diagnosis. Only an inspection can confirm what your system needs. Replacement range shown is a sample for our area.
These are the rules we actually use, so you can check our math.
Most air conditioners and heat pumps last 12 to 15 years. Furnaces often reach 20. Past those marks, repairs buy less time.
Multiply the repair cost by the age of the system in years. Over 5,000 usually means replace. Under it usually means repair.
If one repair costs half or more of a new system, that money is usually better spent on replacement.
Older systems that use R-22 are costly to recharge because it is no longer made. A leak there is often the end of the road.
Our technicians are paid a salary, not commission, so there is no reason to push a bigger job. If a repair is the right call, we will say so and put it in writing.
A big repair or a new system should not wait on a big check. Ask about monthly payment options when you request your estimate.
Every price is in writing before any work begins, so you know the full number first.
Low monthly payments are available on approved credit, so you can spread the cost out.
